Getting Used to The HCG Diet

Amongst the most recent and famous diets used by people, the HCG diet protocol controls weight management. This program normally runs for at least three weeks, and combined with a low calorie diet often under the supervision of a doctor or GP. The HCG diet protocol has been widespread thanks to the book published by Dr. A. Simeon entitled Pounds and Inches. It is a diet plan which only requires 500 calories to be taken per day. Additionally, it is necessary for the dieter to take in lots of liquids especially water because it facilitates in the removal of toxins and waste products from the body. The HCG diet protocol needs protein consumption and foods rich in fiber to assist in the digestion.

While on the HCG diet protocol, eating eggs and milk is strictly prohibited. Beverages allowed and recommended to be ingested are tea, coffee, and water. The following is a sample of menu to be taken in while on HCG diet protocol.

Getting Used to the HCG Breakfast

Have an unlimited amount of coffee or tea without the added sugar. If you want to have sweeteners, a really great alternative will be stevia. It is also preferable to drink herbal or organic teas rather than commercial ones.

Lunch on the HCG Diet

Eat less than 100 grams of lean meat like veal and beef. Some other good meat options are chicken breasts and seafood. Before cooking the meat, the HCG diet protocol, suggests for the fats to be taken out. While on this diet plan, the foods should only be either boiled or grilled. Fishes with the exception of salmon, eel, herring, and tuna must not be eaten while on the HCG diet protocol.

Vegetable Choices – Sticking to the HCG Diet

During the HCG diet protocol, it is strongly advised not to mix any two types of vegetables. Some really good choices of veggies are chard, beet greens, tomatoes, spinaches, chicories, celeries, onions, red radishes, fennels, asparaguses, cucumbers, and cabbages. Remember that only one type of vegetable is allowed per meal while on the HCG diet protocol.

Getting Used to Dinner on the HCG Diet

Eating the same kinds of food you ate for lunch is advisable. For dessert, the best types of fruits will be apple, grapefruit, and orange. Additionally, breadstick and Melba toasts are also recommended.

Moreover, it is strongly prohibited to have a massage while on HCG diet protocol. It is also good to know that there is another HCG diet protocol which was developed by Dr. Kevin Trudeau (mentioned above). His version of weight loss diet plan includes some modifications to that of Dr. Simeon’s. Such modifications include taking extra supplements and having snacks after eating breakfast. Herbal and organic tea like Yerba Mate is also highly recommended. Before anything else, checking first with the doctors regarding the advantages as well as the disadvantages of the protocol is essential and very much needed. Doing so will help you find out whether or not you are really suited for such intense diet or if better alternatives will suit you more. As always, being on the safe side and being vigilant in protecting your own health is required at all times.

My pharmacist tells me that its a bad idea to take the hcg drops, basically says its not going to do anything for me, but my friend sarah swears by it and has lost 2 stone. Are the pharamcists just saying the low risk thing or is my friend and many others as far as i can see just duped. Very hard to tell but thanks for the info its been very helpful. I will try the Activ8 x drops anyway and see what happens… Mari
